Overview
This position is a critical role in our family owned flatwork company, responsible for leading a team, ensuring high quality concrete flatwork. This position requires a keen eye for detail and a commitment to quality control, ensuring that all work meets project specifications and standards. The Concrete Foreman will work closely with field employees as well as other subcontractors/suppliers to manage timelines and maintain project schedules.
Duties
- Prepare and set up concrete forms according to specifications.
- Pour, spread, and level concrete using various tools and equipment.
- Finish surfaces of poured concrete using hand tools, power tools, and other finishing techniques.
- Monitor the curing process of concrete to ensure optimal strength and durability.
- Conduct quality control checks throughout the finishing process to ensure compliance with project standards.
- Collaborate with team to assist in project scheduling.
- Supervise junior staff or laborers on-site to ensure tasks are completed efficiently and safely.
- Maintain a clean and organized construction site, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
