We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented PL/SQL Developer to design, develop, and maintain database applications using Oracle PL/SQL. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in database programming, performance tuning, and stored procedures. This role requires problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to develop scalable and efficient database solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop, test, and implement complex PL/SQL programs and stored procedures.
Design and optimize database schemas, queries, and indexing strategies.
Troubleshoot and debug database-related issues, ensuring optimal performance.
Work closely with application developers to integrate PL/SQL code into business applications.
Develop and maintain ETL processes, data migration scripts, and batch jobs.
Implement and enforce database security and integrity policies.
Optimize SQL queries, tuning performance for high-volume transactions.
Create and maintain technical documentation, including database designs and best practices.
Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to database development standards.
Stay updated with emerging database technologies and Oracle updates.
May involve occasional travel for training or business needs.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Proven experience as a PL/SQL Developer, with a strong understanding of Oracle databases.
Proficiency in writing complex PL/SQL stored procedures, triggers, functions, and packages.
Hands-on experience with performance tuning, indexing, and query optimization.
Familiarity with database design principles and data modeling.
Experience with ETL processes and tools.
Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
Knowledge of data security best practices and database access controls.
Ability to work both independently and within a team environment.
Requires occasional on-call support for critical database issues.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with Oracle APEX, Forms, or Reports.
Familiarity with cloud-based database solutions (AWS RDS, Oracle Cloud).
Knowledge of Agile development methodologies.
Experience with scripting languages such as Python or Shell scripting.
Understanding of DevOps practices and CI/CD for database deployments.
