As a Switchboard Operator, you will be managing the front desk of the main patient care building for the Indiana Family and Social Services Administration Richmond State Hospital (RSH). This position is onsite in Richmond, Indiana.
Responsibilities:
- Answering the main hospital phone
- Transferring calls
- Monitoring the fire panel systems and using the radio to contact Security if a trouble alarm alerts
- Calling and relaying information to 911 if a code is called
- Using the PA system for hospital codes if requested
- Assisting with fleet key check out
- Assisting with staff meal ticket purchases
- Other clerical tasks as assigned
Qualifications:
- Prior experience as a hospital switchboard operator or clinic unit clerk
- Knowledge and experience in a role utilizing HIPAA compliance
- Ability to react calmly and quickly in the case of a medical or security emergency
- CPR Certification
