What are the responsibilities and job description for the Line Cook position at THAT Brewery & Pub?
We are seeking 1-2 Full-time Line Cooks to join our fast-paced kitchen team. As a Line Cook at THAT Brewery & Pub, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking high-quality dishes in a timely and efficient manner, ensuring consistency and excellence in every plate. If you thrive in a high-energy environment and have a passion for cooking, we'd love to meet you! There is a possibility of an on site housing rental.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook menu items according to the restaurant's recipes and standards.
- Set up and stock stations with all necessary supplies and ingredients.
- Ensure all food is prepared and cooked to the correct specifications and presentation.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of your station, including properly storing food and equipment.
- Follow health and safety standards, including proper handling and storage of food.
- Assist in managing food inventory and ingredient preparation.
- Work collaboratively with the kitchen team to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
- Communicate effectively with the front-of-house staff to ensure timely food delivery.
- Participate in the training of new kitchen staff as needed.
- Assist with kitchen prep duties and clean-up at the end of the shift.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Kitchen Manager or Team Lead.
Qualifications:
- Experience as a Line Cook or in a similar role in a busy kitchen preferred, but will train the right candidate..
- Understanding of cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures.
- Ability to work quickly and efficiently while maintaining high-quality standards.
- Ability to multitask and handle a high-pressure environment.
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards.
- Ability to follow recipes and adapt to changing menu requirements.
- Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and teamwork-oriented.
- Flexible schedule; willing to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed. Full-time & Part-time available.
- Must be 18 years old.
- Must have reliable transportation.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand for long periods of time.
- Ability to lift heavy items (up to 50 lbs).
- Comfort working in a hot and noisy environment.
- Manual dexterity to operate kitchen tools and equipment safely.
