- Assess the condition of pets’ coats and skin to determine appropriate grooming techniques.
- Maintain a clean and safe grooming environment by following hygiene protocols and cleaning equipment regularly.
- Communicate effectively with pet owners to understand their grooming preferences and provide recommendations based on the pet's needs.
- Handle animals safely using proper animal restraint techniques to ensure their comfort during grooming sessions.
- Provide basic pet care services, including feeding, walking, or administering medication as needed.
- Build strong relationships with clients through excellent customer service and follow-up communication regarding their pets’ grooming needs.
Requirements
- Proven experience in pet grooming at least 2 years.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with pet owners.
- Knowledge of animal care practices, including proper handling techniques and basic first aid for pets.
- Ability to lift heavy animals safely and comfortably when necessary.
- A genuine love for animals combined with patience and compassion in handling them.
- Certification in pet grooming or related fields is a plus but not mandatory.
