Inventory Staff Accountant
A local, growing company is seeking an Inventory Staff Accountant to support its accounting team. This role is ideal for someone with strong accounting fundamentals and 3-5 years of relevant experience, particularly in inventory management, reconciliations, and process improvements. It offers significant growth potential as processes are developed and automated, allowing for advancement to a Senior Accountant or other roles.
What You’ll Do:
- Develop and enhance inventory tracking, reporting, and process improvements.
- Manage the Purchase Card program and enter activity into ERP systems.
- Perform reconciliations, prepare financial statements, and support annual audits.
- Collaborate with plant operations, procurement, and commercial teams to ensure accurate reporting.
- Participate in special projects and ensure proper accounting procedures for intercompany transactions.
What You Need:
- 3-5 years of relevant accounting experience with a strong understanding of T-accounts, reconciliations, debits/credits, and financial statements.
- Experience in manufacturing accounting or inventory management is ideal but not required.
- Proficiency with Great Plains is a plus.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to communicate complex accounting concepts clearly and effectively.
