Payroll Tax Specialist – High-Volume, Multi-State Payroll

What You’ll Do:
- Process payroll with a strong focus on tax compliance for 1099 contractors and multi-state payroll.
- Set up new employer tax accounts with local, state, and federal agencies.
- Audit and amend tax returns, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- File local, state, and federal payroll tax returns, including quarterly and year-end reporting.
- Verify and audit W-9 forms, ensuring accurate information for tax reporting.
- Identify and resolve payroll discrepancies while ensuring timely, accurate payments.
- Act as a resource for contractors, answering payroll and tax-related questions.
- Continuously refine and improve payroll processes for efficiency and compliance.
What We’re Looking For:
- 3 years of payroll tax experience, including compliance, filings, and amendments.
- Experience processing high-volume payroll with a strong understanding of multi-state payroll tax regulations.
- Expertise in W-2 and 1099 processing, including year-end tax reporting.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to identify discrepancies and ensure accurate payments.
- Ability to handle contractor inquiries with professionalism and clarity.
- Experience with garnishments, benefits deductions, and quarterly tax reporting.
