Position Summary
The Production Supervisor supervises employees in a manufacturing environment. They will plan and assign work, implement policies and procedures and recommends improvements in production methods, equipment, operating procedures and working conditions.
Essential Duties AND Responsibilities
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
· Understand and be able to operate all equipment and troubleshooting
· Ability to understand the production schedule and ensure the schedule is followed
· Responsible for ensuring the inventory management system is being utilized correctly and accurately
· Ensuring effective employee relations; providing employee coaching and development; resolving employee issues through problem resolution
· Balancing quality, productivity, cost, safety, and morale to achieve positive results in all areas; working to continuously improve in all areas
· Record daily numbers and send updated report throughout the day and end of shift
· Responsible for implementing all company policies including GMP, PPE, Food Safety, Safety and Sanitation
· Responsible for ensuring all employees are adhering to food safety guidelines
· Maintain facility and employees to always be audit ready
· Tracking absenteeism
· Discipline and coach according to company policies and document
· Training all employees that report to them
· Performing all other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)
· High school diploma or GED equivalent required
· Three years working in a manufacturing environment required
· 3 years as a FRONT-LINE SUPERVISOR role required
· Experience in machine operations in a manufacturing environment required
· Strong interpersonal and communication skills with strong team-building skills
· Previous experience in manufacturing facility preferred
· Ability to understand and use our computer applications and data collection and recording (Excel, Email, etc.)
· A demonstrated ability to lead people and get results through others
· Ability to think ahead, plan and prepare action plans to achieve results
· Quality orientation and attention to detail
· An ability to manage multiple priorities
