What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance Worker position at Thatcher Brook Rehabilitation and Care?
We are looking to hire a Maintenance Worker for our Skilled Nursing Facility. The person we hire for this position will be expected to perform routine and extensive preventative maintenance and repair procedures, work on mechanical equipment and utility systems, perform minor repairs of the building and equipment. The job also includes preventive maintenance procedures on building mechanical equipment on a scheduled basis; completing daily, weekly and monthly checklists on building equipment maintenance procedures and maintains records of scheduled maintenance procedures. Performs outside custodial duties such as snow removal as required. May obtain estimates for supplies, repair parts; orders parts as needed and will look over all maintenance for the building as a whole.
Must be able to:
- lift 60 pounds
- stay on a task and get it completed
- be motivated to get the job done correctly
- have basic knowledge of how to maintain a building
- pass a background check
- pass a drug test
- interact with patients and guests in a respectful manner
