Overview:
The SacAg Production Operator is responsible for overseeing and maintaining the continuous operation of the plant. This role involves adhering to safety protocols, monitoring plant operations, and ensuring smooth production processes through effective troubleshooting and maintenance.
Job Duties:
- Follow all safety procedures and protocols to ensure a safe working environment.
- Monitor and troubleshoot plant operations through the computerized control system and routine physical inspections.
- Perform general housekeeping tasks to maintain and improve plant conditions.
- Unload railcars and raw material truck deliveries.
- Load trucks and handle totes.
- Clean filter presses and maintain scrubber logs.
- Take samples to the lab and conduct periodic in-house lab analysis of chemicals.
- Ensure the continuous operation of the sulfur burner and absorption towers.
- Prepare batches in reactors as needed.
Shift: Sunday-Wednesday Graves
Qualifications
Required Qualification:
Education:
- High School Diploma or GED
Knowledge & Skills:
- Basic chemical handling knowledge
- Forklift operation experience
- Basic computer skills
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to climb stairs and ladders
- Lift up to 50 lbs
- Wear a respirator occasionally for 10-15 minutes
- Wear SCBA (Self-Contained Breathing Apparatus) in emergency situations
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience:
- 2-3 years in a related field
Knowledge & Skills:
- Knowledge of EPA regulations and Thatcher product knowledge
- Railcar unloading and truck loading skills
- Proficiency in M3, Paycom, Delta V, and lab analytical skills
