In addition to our in-person offerings (at West Point and other US and international locations), we also deliver our powerful leadership experiences digitally through various platforms in order to continue to bring our clients the West Point experience from their respective locations.

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced mid-level corporate lawyer to join our team on a part-time, fully remote basis. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in drafting and negotiating contracts, as well as a working knowledge of employment law, data privacy and intellectual property issues. As a part of our legal team, you will play a key role in providing legal guidance and support to our business teams while ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of corporate contracts, including service contracts, license agreements, employment contracts, real estate leases, master service agreements and non-disclosure agreements.
• Advise and provide legal counsel on various employment law matters, including employee relations, compliance with labor laws in multiple different US states, and dispute resolution.
• Offer legal support on intellectual property issues, including trademarks, copyrights, and licensing agreements.
• Review and update company policies and procedures to ensure compliance with legal requirements.
• Review cyber-security and data privacy policies and questionnaires to ensure compliance with contractual, legislative and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with senior legal counsel and various business teams to develop solutions and resolve cross-functional and procedural legal questions.
• Stay current on developments in corporate law, intellectual property, data privacy and employment law to ensure proactive legal support.
• Manage relationships with outside counsel when necessary for specialized legal issues.

Qualifications:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
• Licensed to practice law in New York State.
• 2-5 years of relevant corporate law experience, including substantial experience drafting and negotiating commercial contracts.
• Familiarity with employment law, data privacy and intellectual property matters.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to translate complex legal concepts into actionable advice for non-legal stakeholders.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Availability to work reliably during set work hours.
• High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and remotely with minimal supervision.
• Strong business acumen and a collaborative approach to legal problem-solving.
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
• Understanding of how to manage risk appropriately.

Work Schedule:

• Part-time, with flexibility to work approximately 20-30 hours per week.
• Fully remote, with the ability to work from anywhere within the U.S.
• Available during East Coast working hours.
