Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement comprehensive safety and security programs to protect employees, visitors, and assets from potential risks and threats.
- Conduct regular risk assessments to identify potential hazards and vulnerabilities, and develop appropriate mitigation strategies.
- Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal safety and security regulations.
- Oversee the maintenance and operation of all facility systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and security systems.
- Manage the security team, including hiring, training, and performance evaluations.
- Develop and maintain emergency response plans and conduct regular drills and training sessions.
- Coordinate with local law enforcement and emergency services to ensure effective response to incidents.
- Prepare and manage the budget for safety, security, and facilities operations.
- Monitor and analyze safety and security metrics to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Ensure the proper maintenance and security of all company assets, including buildings, equipment, and vehicles.
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Security Management, Facilities Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in safety, security, and facilities management, preferably in a leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of safety and security regulations and best practices.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to develop and implement effective safety and security programs.
- Experience with budget management and financial planning.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and handle multiple priorities.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Previous experience in the maritime or defense industry.
- Certification in safety or security management (e.g., Certified Safety Professional, Certified Protection Professional).
