In our bustling Persistent Surveillance Systems department, were on a mission to monitor and pinpoint passive acoustic contacts around the clock. From biological wonders to manmade marvels, were dedicated to delivering precise and timely contact reports. Plus, we handle all our piloting in-house for a fleet of unmanned vehicles carrying our top-notch acoustic payloads.
Position Summary :
As our Engineering Technician 2, youll be the backbone supporting our deployment and engineering teams. Get ready to roll up your sleeves and dive into building, testing, and deploying / recovering our cutting-edge TM systems. This is a Full Time, in person role in Groton, CT reporting to the Deputy Director, Engineering Persistent Surveillance System.
Roles and Responsibilities :
- Assemble and test payloads for PSS systems
- Build electrical and mechanical assemblies for auxiliary components
- Test equipment operation with various software and electronic tools
- Troubleshoot broken equipment; mechanically and electrically
- Perform maintenance on Unmanned Surface Vessels
- Repair fiberglass damage
