Essential Duties and Responsibilities: The Logistics Support Supervisor will play a pivotal role in managing and optimizing the logistics operations of ThayerMahan Offshore in the maritime industry. This position requires a detail-oriented professional with strong leadership skills, expertise in operational maritime logistics, and a commitment to driving excellence in a high-growth, international company. Reporting to the Director of Logistics and Environmental Compliance, the successful candidate will ensure that the organizations maritime logistics processes support its operational and strategic goals effectively.
Assists Director and Deputy Director in coordinating all maritime logistics support for ThayerMahan Offshore including but not limited to pierage, pilots, fuel, shoreside support, waste, travel, warehousing, shipping and receiving, andprocurement.
Assists Virginia Beach warehouse operations, small boat maintenance, training, and inventory management
Provide support to project managers and operations on port planning, scheduling, and coordination of services
.Assist in the establishment of program-level processes that provide timely logistics support to operations personnel.
Responsible for ensuring proper documentation and financial accounting for all TMO travel and logistics.
Ensure invoices are submitted to Accounts Payable and vendors receive payment for goods provided or services rendered.
Collaborate with operations on profitability initiatives.
Ensures successful operational performance and fiscal efficiency through timely scheduling, networked communications,and focused oversight.
Forecast CAPEX needs of projects with operations and coordinate purchase orders with procurement.Oversee project-level forecasting efforts for logistical support
.Provide 24/7 operational support and customer service that protects/promotes TMO's high reputation to vendors andunwavering support to TMO employees.
Qualifications and Educational Requirements:
Bachelors degree in Business, Logistics, Operations or a related field
3 Years of supply chain, logistics, maritime operations, or programmanagement experience.
Required Skills:
Strong organizational and management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively..
Proficiency in MS Excel, Excel and PowerPoint.
Ability to maintain adherence to policies and procedures
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across functions and levels.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Skills:
Experience in maritime industry.Experience with FlowTrack.
Experience with Unanet.
Familiarity with logistics in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA, and other federal, stateand local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards.
