What are the responsibilities and job description for the Full Stack Software Engineer position at Thazen?
Thazen is seeking a software engineer to lead the development of modern full stack software applications using React, Angular and equivalent JavaScript libraries. The candidate will lead an Agile scrum team in the development and Integration of infrastructure as code and automation software into fully functional production applications.
Essential Job Functions:
- Recommends corrections in technical applications and analysis.
- Provide technical mentorship and guidance to less-experienced engineering staff.
- Work through an agile based full-cycle development that includes requirements analysis, design, & implementation.
- Apply software engineering standards and assist the engineering team in software system or subsystem development and documentation efforts.
- Understands and adheres to project schedules and stays within established budgets.
- Efficiently diagnose and debug front-end and back-end software issues.
- Clearly and effectively communicate problems and solutions with the team and external stakeholders, both verbally and electronically.
- Plans, conducts, technically directs and evaluates software projects across and agile development cycle
- Onsite in Orlando a majority of the work week
Required Skills:
- Minimum 8 years software engineering experience.
- Strong object-oriented programming expertise
- Strong expertise with JavaScript, Java Spring Boot, React, Angular and other related libraries desired
- Experience in Linux shell scripting
- Experience in cloud-based infrastructures and environments
Additional experience a plus:
- Experience with containerization of applications
- Experience in Kubernetes and container orchestration
- Experience with back-end development, including node.js, web servers (Nginx, Apache, etc.), database servers, etc.
- Secure web-based development
- Agile development process and planning tools (Jira, Confluence, etc.)
- Git repositories
- Database design
Required Education/Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline such as electrical engineering, computer science, information technology, systems or software engineering from an accredited college or university.
- Minimum of 8 years applicable progressively complex software design engineering experience.
US Government Clearance: This specific position requires U. S. Citizenship status with ability to obtain a SECRET to TOP SECRET security clearance.
