Primary Purpose:
The Licensed Clinical Addiction Specialist provides oversight to the CADC, who leads the groups daily. Their duties include therapeutic services, including assessments, crisis intervention, individual and group therapy,
Qualifications:
Education:
Licensed Clinical Addiction Specialist or Licensed Clinical Addiction Specialist Associate
Special Knowledge/Skills:
Ability to follow verbal instructions and communicate effectively.
Ability to document case notes in the EMR system.
Ability to work well with adults with disabilities, MH diagnosis, addiction or substance abuse.
Ability and knowledge of behavioral health care. This includes administering assessments, providing counseling services, or knowledge of behavioral health theories.
Experience conducting motivational interviewing as a counseling method.
Experience in social work.
Experience in the intake process.
Skill or experience in psychotherapy that involves leading a group of people who are experiencing similar problems and share their issues to help one another.
Knowledge of the laws related to the privacy and security of medical information as established in the HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act).
Experience:
Two years’ experience is preferred.
Major Responsibilities and Duties: Client Management
- Process intake assessments, including obtaining and reviewing prior medical records, performing patient intake interviews, and managing new patient forms.
- Evaluating clients to determine their needs and the support options that can help them
- Creating individualized care plans for each client
- Referring clients to community resources to help their specific situations
- Collaborating with other care providers to coordinate services
- Monitoring clients
- Maintaining records of treatments and services
- Providing talk therapy
- Responding to crisis situations
- Other duties as needed, such as marketing for referrals.
Safety
- Make sure all clients are safe at all times.
- Follow HIPAA laws at all times.
- Follow established procedures and techniques to perform job duties including lifting, assisting clients, etc.
Other
- Become familiar with and follow procedures established by the company.
- Work irregular hours as needed.

Oversight for the SACOT & SAIOP treatment program
