What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assembly Engineering Technician position at The Aagard Group?
Key Obsessions:
- Mechanical design floor support
Investigate root cause of assembly issues and implement corrective actions for current and future designs.
Actively participate in design reviews to improve design quality and manufacturability.
Provide hands-on support for assembly issues, making CAD model updates and part releases within design capabilities.
Design and implement shop floor projects.
- Machine build
Assist team with machine assembly, ensuring adherence to Aagard standards, prints, and specifications.
Identify and resolve issues efficiently, providing feedback to engineering.
- Machine Testing and Troubleshooting
Prior to testing start-up, verify machine testing, verifying machine is built to design intent by conducting audits.
Assist with machine testing, verifying machine functionality to meet customer requirements.
Lead testing when assigned.
Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical assembly issues during the build and testing phases.
Minimum Requirements:
- Associate degree in Mechanical Technology, Mechanical Drafting, Mechatronics, Robotics, or related field or equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
- Ability to draw and detail CAD drawings and operate CAD software.
- Understanding of mechanical principles, machinery, fabrication and assembly environments.
- Proficient use of measuring instruments.
- Ability to walk or stand up to 100 percent of the time.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, or climb.
- Must possess a Real ID or Passport and be willing to travel as necessary (up to 30%) the time.
