JOB SUMMARY: As an Abbey Resort associate, you will have the opportunity to be part of an incredible team at a full service resort situated on the beautiful shores of Lake Geneva. BASIC FUNCTION: The Lead Barista will be responsible overseeing the day-to-day operations at Café Latte. They are responsible for training new employees, for creating beverages, providing snacks, and taking orders for customers in our Café Latte.
QUALIFICATIONS: EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE, TRAINING, & WORK EXPERIENCE
Experience as a Barista preferred
High School diploma/On the Job Training
Customer service or retail experience preferred
Excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills with the ability to maintain energy & enthusiasm
Command of the English language, written and verbal
Must have basic math skills for money handling
Must be able to work weekends and holidays
Must have excellent attendance and punctuality
Ability to multi-task under pressure
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Greet and serve all guests in a positive and friendly manner.
Follow predetermined instructions regarding recipes and quantities, following drink specifications exactly.
Properly use the POS system – i.e. Teres
Prepare coffee and food orders effectively as they are received.
Must follow accepted procedures for product handling and storage. All items are to be rotated and changed when needed.
Responsible for cash handling and bank procedures as outlined by the Accounting Department
Maintain a neat and organized workstation (including freezers, coolers, countertops and floors) to ensure a safe and sanitary work environment.
Communicate with the Manager on duty about any problems or complaints.
Establish and maintain good working relationships with manager, co-workers and other departmental staff.
Be aware of food and product inventory to ensure adequate par stocks.
Be familiar with and comply with all security procedures for the outlet.

Scheduled hours may vary on business needs and may or may not include holidays, weekends, various shifts, overtime or reduced hours.

ENVIRONMENT: Indoors, dimly lit, car and climate-controlled environment. Constantly exposed to hot items. Will be standing on cement surfaces with rubber mats.
