JOB SUMMARY: As an Abbey Resort associate, you will have the opportunity to be part of an incredible team at an all service resort situated on the beautiful shores of Geneva Lake. BASIC FUNCTION: Receiving agent is responsible for accepting, inspecting, stocking and transferring deliveries. This job involves a close attention to detail and the ability to use inventory tools and has strong organizational skills.
QUALIFICATIONS: EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE, TRAINING, & WORK EXPERIENCE
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- Three years food and beverage receiving or warehouse inventory management experience.
- Ability to read and write.
- Good verbal communications with strong command of the English language.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Receives all food, beverage and other related products.
- Signs invoices with proper signature and codes invoices.
- Logs liquor invoices into perpetual log.
- Checks and logs incoming temperatures of perishable product.
- Communicates shorts on invoices.
- Verifies what food and beverage deliveries are per specifications and quality levels.
- Oversee activity in general storeroom.
- Supervises storeroom attendants and clerks.
- Directly responsible for sanitation in the Food and Beverage storage area.
- Responsible for Cleaning the Docks area on weekly basis.
- Responsible for organization of the Food & Beverage cold and dry storage areas (as set by the Executive chef).
- Assists in maintaining inventory levels food and beverage products in conjunction with Executive Chef.
- Assist in processing a monthly inventory of all product levels
- Complete ServSafe Food Handler Certification
MARGINAL FUNCTIONS:
- Required to perform other tasks and duties as assigned.
- Scheduled hours may vary on business needs and may or may not include holidays, weekends, various shifts, overtime or reduced hours.
- Assist in other departments as needed.
- Knowledge of software and accomplish necessary tasks on a computer utilizing Microsoft Office Products Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Answer phones in a professional manner.
ENVIRONMENT:
Inside and outside, in different weather conditions. Must be able to work in walk-in refrigerators and freezers for extended periods of time.
