Qualifications & Competencies

• Evidence of leadership and going above and beyond in prior teaching or administrative roles
• Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills as well as attention to detail
• A track record of excellent results teaching children at advanced levels in at-risk communities
• Excellent results in coaching teachers, providing training, conducting classroom observations, and implementing, analyzing, and helping teachers analyze and create action plans from assessments.
• Strong computer skills and ability to analyze data in various applications including Excel
• Commitment to helping at-risk students prepare for and succeed in college
• A bachelor’s degree or higher
  
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Bilingual in Spanish, with the ability to effectively support and engage diverse student populations.
• Demonstrated experience working with English Language Learners (ELL) and implementing strategies to support language acquisition and academic success.
• Expertise in foundational literacy, including knowledge of the science of reading and evidence-based instructional practices.
• Proficiency in standards-based instruction and its application in K-8 educational settings.
• Familiarity with the Move On When Reading (MOWR) initiative and its requirements.
• Experience integrating STEM-focused educational programming while maintaining a strong emphasis on foundational teaching in core subjects.
• Knowledge of and experience with core instructional programs, including Into Math, SAVVAS myViews & myPerspectives, and Amplify Science.
