Position Overview:
The Communications and Engagement Manager will play a pivotal role in advancing the missions of both Cultivate Collective and the Academy for Global Citizenship (AGC) by leading and executing communications strategies, strengthening external relationships, engaging donors, coordinating events, and managing social media initiatives. This hybrid position will work closely with the Executive Director of Cultivate Collective and the Chief External Relations Officer of AGC to enhance visibility, support fundraising efforts, and build lasting connections with stakeholders of both organizations.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Communications:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive communications strategy that aligns with both Cultivate Collective’s and AGC’s goals.
- Create compelling content for newsletters, press releases, websites, and digital platforms representing both organizations.
- Support internal and external communications, ensuring consistent and strategic messaging across AGC and Cultivate Collective.
- Manage media relations, including writing press releases and maintaining relationships with media representatives on behalf of both organizations.
2. External Relations:
- Build and maintain relationships with external partners, community organizations, and media contacts relevant to both Cultivate Collective and AGC.
- Act as a representative at public events and meetings, showcasing the initiatives and impact of both organizations.
- Collaborate with leadership to identify and engage potential partners and stakeholders to support the missions of AGC and Cultivate Collective.
3. Donor Engagement:
- Develop and execute strategies to engage and steward donors for both organizations, including personalized communications and recognition initiatives.
- Support fundraising efforts, including grant writing, donor research, and coordinating donor meetings.
- Manage donor records, acknowledgments, and reporting, ensuring a seamless approach to donor relations for both Cultivate Collective and AGC.
4. Event Planning and Management:
- Plan and execute events, including fundraising initiatives, community gatherings, and donor recognition events for both organizations.
- Coordinate logistics, manage budgets, and oversee vendor relationships.
- Develop event marketing materials and manage event-related communications, ensuring alignment with both brands.
5. Social Media Management:
- Create and manage content for social media channels to enhance engagement and build community for both AGC and Cultivate Collective.
- Develop a social media calendar and execute strategies to increase visibility and impact for both organizations.
- Monitor analytics and adjust strategies to improve performance, ensuring alignment with each organization’s strategic goals.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, Nonprofit Management, or related field.
- 2-4 years of experience in communications, external relations, donor engagement, event planning, or social media management.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience with event planning and execution.
- Proficiency in social media platforms and content management tools.
- Ability to work collaboratively and independently in a dynamic environment.
- Passion for the missions of Cultivate Collective and AGC, with a commitment to community impact and educational innovation.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $55,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
