Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Serve students identified by the IEP team for Educationally Related Mental Health Services.
- Offers individual and/or small group counseling to students without IEPs as a member of the K-8 Counseling team.
- Manages SEIS account per ERMHS therapist duties, including updating social-emotional goals for students on counseling caseload.
- Collaborates with special education and general education staff members, participates in IEP meetings, and provides recommendations for social-emotional goals and services.
- Assists school patrons in gaining access to services from outside agencies and community service providers.
- Requires the ability to relate well with students, parents/guardians, all levels of staff and other community based mental health professionals.
- Perform crisis counseling as necessary.
- Perform other related duties and special projects as assigned/required by supervisor or site administrator(s). Attending staff meetings, Counseling Team meetings, COST and SPED Department meetings.
Job Qualifications
- Masters degree in psychology, Clinical Psychology, Clinical Social Work, or Counseling Psychology required.
- Must hold at least one of the following:
- Pupil Personnel Services Credential with School Psychology authorization.
- Marriage Family Therapist (MFT)
- Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)
- Must pass a criminal background check and TB test clearance.
Time Commitment
- 11 months
- 20 hours per week, Schedule Flexible, but in person
