What are the responsibilities and job description for the Homework Hall Tutor position at The Academy of Louisville?
The Academy of Louisville is looking for a tutor to run our Homework Hall program. Homework Hall takes place during the school year and is from 3:00-7:00 (sometimes 8:00) Monday-Thursday and 3:00-6:00 on Friday. This is a part-time position, but there will be options for more hours earlier in the day to create a full-time position over time.
Responsibilities include:
-Checking middle and high school students' online portals to help them keep up with their homework assignments
-Helping students to stay organized to help them get their work completed and back to school
-Helping students to complete their daily homework -- including high school math* -- and prepare for upcoming assessments
-Communicating with parents and teachers via email to ensure transparency and follow-through by students in program
*Must be able to help students with their middle and high school math assignments
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: From $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 10 – 15 per week
