Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree or higher
- Teaching Certificate or temporary certification in relevant subject area
- Demonstrates strong work ethic to achieve TAOO’s goals
- Works well as part of a team
- Reports to:
- This position reports to the Head of School
Job Goals:
- To gain the trust and respect of your students that will cultivate the best learning environment for them
- To learn each students’ individual goals and help them reach their potential not just academically but in life
- To challenge each student at their level
- To rely on your TAOO team to help you in the areas you struggle
Classroom Management and Aesthetics:
- To implement instructional activities that contribute to a climate where students are actively engaged in meaningful learning experiences
- To identify, select, and modify instructional resources to meet the needs of the students with varying backgrounds and learning styles.
- To provide a positive environment in which students are encouraged to be actively engaged in the learning process.
- To collaborate with peers to enhance the instructional environment and overall atmosphere at TAOO
- To communicate effectively with students, parents, and other TAOO peers on a regular basis
- To evaluate students’ academic and social growth, keep appropriate records, prepare student reports and effectively communicate with parents regarding their child’s progress.
Reviews:
- Reviews for this job will take place by the Head of School.
- To take constructive criticism when need and find ways to improve in those areas.
Professional Development:
- Attended all Professional Development days provided by administration
- To actively seek out professional development you would personally want to attend and present it to the Head of School
