SUMMARY:
We are looking for a motivated Level 1 Tech Support to join our IT Department during the summer. This role is ideal for students or entry-level candidates looking to gain hands-on experience in IT support.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The primary responsibility is to assist with technical support requests and contribute to various summer IT projects under the supervision of senior staff.
- Provide a welcoming and friendly demeanor to the customer base.
- Be organized and possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Other duties as assigned.
To be a successful help desk technician, you should be well versed in all aspects of computer systems configuration, set up, and maintenance. Using our internal ticketing system, you should be able to notate closed issues properly, and escalate appropriately as needed.
Requirements:TECHNICAL SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE & ABILITIES:
- Ability to maintain confidentiality in all aspects of the job.
- Ability to promote and follow Board of Education policies, Authorizer policies and building and department procedures.
- Ability to communicate, interact and work effectively and cooperatively with people from diverse ethnic and educational backgrounds.
- Ability to recognize the importance of safety in the workplace, follow safety rules, practice safe work habits, utilize appropriate safety equipment and report unsafe conditions to the appropriate administrator.
