As an Assistant Marketing Team Leader, you will get to work with Marketing Team Leaders from multiple departments, while working on real projects that will help us and you grow. We are looking for a team player who is going to champion for growth, development, new program processes, and assist in ensuring the rest of the department is meeting new expectations and goals.

Responsibilities and Requirements:

The role requires the ability to manage persons who are involved in multiple, concurrent projects and initiatives while maintaining a positive attitude and energy. The Assistant Marketing Team Leader will serve as a support to the Marketing Team Leader as they track and seek to improve a portfolio of brands, including monitoring all social properties, ensuring creative unique and engaging content is being produced, designing social media imagery, and assisting in building social media promotions and other initiatives. The Assistant Team Leader must have strong creative and professional writing skills and be able to work with the team to brainstorm and create social initiatives to grow the assigned communities, in addition to meeting goals and managing their personal client portfolio. They will be responsible for the assisting of auditing, research, and identifying areas of opportunity with the department and company.

Specific Job Tasks Are as Follows and May Include Additional Tasks as Needed:

  • Assisting in spot-check auditing
  • Quick glances for common mistakes such as forgetting to schedule to Pinterest, links in Instagram captions, FB ad proposals uploaded, call recaps, following posting strategies, etc
  • Assisting in managing the interns daily schedule execution and being able to speak to results
  • Marketing Team Leaders are responsible for the building of schedules and communicating schedule changes but the Assistant Marketing Team Leader will be responsible for the daily execution, checking-in, supporting/coaching, and following up. They need to be able to speak to results and execute process management of optimization and other related tasks.
  • Assisting in the development of improving internal processes
  • Software research, strategies for implementing, training schedules, etc
  • Auditing schedules for the team in support of Marketing Team Leaders to ensure all clients are properly assigned and schedule creation standards are being met
  • Attending kick-off calls in place of Marketing Team Leaders when needed if Marketing Team Leaders are double booked
  • Conducting touch bases as needed with the Marketing Team Leaders present.
  • Attending meetings in place of Marketing Team Leaders when needed if Marketing Team Leaders are out of the office.

What We Require:

  • Background in Marketing, Communication, or other related disciplines.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Suite Office.
  • Organized, with an ability to prioritize time-sensitive assignments.
  • Creative and Flexible.
  • Familiarity with social networking sites such as Facebook, LinkedIn, Pinterest, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, and software tools in support of these channels.
  • Interested in the issues equal access to learning resources and generally socially conscious individual
  • Interest in diverse client management and the outstanding ability to mono-task in a multitasking environment
  • Create daily content for multiple social media platforms across different industry verticals
  • Ability to coach and deliver feedback successfully
  • Measure and optimize campaigns based on analytics at high-level, identifying areas of opportunity within the department as a whole
  • Assist in developing social media program initiatives to improve community size and engagement
  • Communicate with the team on a daily basis to maintain awareness of updates and offerings as well as effectively plan training initiatives, software rollouts, and one-on-one follow-ups with the team
  • Find and implement new social strategies, tools, and tactics as they develop
  • Support the Marketing Team Leader in regards to administrative projects, high-level planning, coaching and development, research, and other related tasks

Candidate Objectives & Job Specifications/Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree is preferred
  • Experience as a marketing professional with specific experience in community management
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience in management of small teams
  • Exceptional sense of creativity
  • Strong familiarity with the business applications of social media platforms, including; Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Pinterest, Instagram, LinkedIn, and more
  • Ability to ask questions and learn new skills quickly on the job; be a self-starter
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to handle and prioritize multiple projects as you assist in the management of others’ campaigns and projects
  • Motivation to take responsibility and ensure successful outcomes across the entire department and company; be a driven team player
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel)
  • Basic HTML and video production skills a plus
