Key Responsibilities
• Lead and develop a team of manufacturing engineers, providing technical guidance, performance management, and professional development opportunities • Oversee the design, implementation, and optimization of manufacturing processes, equipment, and systems to improve efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness of connected safety devices • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Production, Quality, Supply Chain, and R&D to ensure seamless integration of new products into manufacturing • Develop and implement manufacturing strategies aligned with business objectives and production goals • Manage capital equipment projects from conception through installation and validation • Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and other methodologies • Analyze production metrics and implement process improvements to enhance productivity and reduce waste • Ensure compliance with safety regulations, quality standards, and environmental requirements • Develop and manage departmental budgets, resource allocation, and project timelines • Troubleshoot complex manufacturing issues and implement effective solutions
Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical, Industrial Engineering or related field; Master's degree preferred • 7 years of manufacturing engineering experience with at least 3 years in a leadership role • Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, equipment, and technologies for electronic safety devices • Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement methodologies • Excellent project management skills with ability to manage multiple priorities • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills • Experience with manufacturing execution systems (MES) and ERP systems • Knowledge of quality systems and regulatory requirements in manufacturing
