Senior Accountant
Are you an experienced Senior Accountant looking for a challenging role where you can work on diverse projects, streamline financial processes, and collaborate across departments? We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Senior Accountant to join our team. Key Responsibilities of the Senior Accountant
- Manage the balance sheet and income statement for multiple legal entities, including journal entries, account reconciliations, month-end close activities, and financial statement preparation.
- Perform financial analysis, investigating variances and discrepancies across business lines, segments, and regions.
- Supervise and train the Global Business Service (GBS) team, ensuring high-quality work and continuously improving operational processes.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate accounting for business activities.
- Lead process improvement and automation initiatives to enhance efficiency.
- Own and execute internal controls activities, maintaining up-to-date documentation.
- Support external audits and internal audits as needed.
- Assist management with special projects and ad hoc tasks.
Qualifications for the Senior Accountant Role
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
- 3 years of relevant professional experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Public accounting experience at a Senior level (Audit/Assurance) or Senior Accountant experience in a high-volume corporate environment.
- Proficiency in accounting systems (SAP, Oracle preferred).
- CPA certification preferred.
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving ability.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a proactive and positive attitude.
- Experience supervising and reviewing the work of outsourced service providers.
- In-depth understanding of US GAAP and public company audits.
