Position Overview:
The House Manager will oversee daily operations in our residential homes, ensuring compliance with Pennsylvania’s 6100 and 6400 regulatory requirements. This role includes supervising staff, maintaining property standards, and promoting the health, safety, and happiness of residents. The House Manager reports to the Residential Director and Program Specialist and supervises Lead Direct Support Professionals (LDSPs) and Direct Support Professionals (DSPs).
Key Responsibilities:
- Regulatory Compliance:
- Ensure adherence to Pennsylvania 6100 and 6400 regulations governing community homes.
- Maintain compliance documentation, including medication administration (MAR), incident reports, and emergency procedures.
- Conduct regular home inspections to ensure compliance with fire safety, medical protocols, and property standards.
- Resident Care:
- Oversee medical appointments, discharge planning, and ongoing health monitoring.
- Participate in Individual Support Plan (ISP) meetings and evaluations.
- Ensure weekly activity schedules align with residents' interests and agency expectations.
- Staff Leadership:
- Supervise and train staff on regulatory compliance, including the implementation of medical and behavioral supports.
- Conduct performance evaluations and manage schedules to ensure appropriate coverage.
- Lead staff meetings and provide mentorship for professional growth.
- Operational Oversight:
- Manage house budgets and individual spending plans.
- Coordinate property maintenance, including fire safety inspections, water testing, and HVAC upkeep.
- Ensure emergency materials and first aid supplies are up-to-date and accessible.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in residential care or community living services with knowledge of Pennsylvania’s 6100 and 6400 regulations.
- Strong leadership and organizational skills.
- Effective communicator, able to collaborate with internal teams, families, and external stakeholders.
- Proficiency in documenting compliance and operational records.
- COVID-19 vaccination required, unless exempt due to medical or religious reasons.
Work Schedule:
This salaried role requires 45 hours of onsite work weekly, with flexibility to address unforeseen needs. The schedule includes one weekend shift per month and regular visits to each assigned residence.
