Duties
- Assist patients with personal hygiene tasks including bathing, grooming, and dressing.
- Help patients with mobility and transfers to ensure safety and comfort.
- Monitor and record vital signs as directed by healthcare professionals.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance the patient's quality of life.
- Assist with meal preparation and feeding as needed.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients by adhering to hygiene protocols.
- Collaborate with nursing staff to communicate patient needs and changes in condition.
- Participate in training sessions to enhance skills related to patient care.
Skills
- Experience in a healthcare setting such as inpatient or outpatient facilities is preferred.
- Familiarity with medical-surgical practices or hospital medicine is advantageous.
- Knowledge of geriatrics or experience working in a Level I or Level II Trauma Center is a plus.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
- Ability to demonstrate empathy, patience, and understanding towards patients' needs.
- Organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail.
