Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
The Adult Skills Center (TASC) provides innovative and proactive services that empower individuals with diverse intellectual, developmental, and mental health needs to achieve their highest level of Independence and realize their greatest potential. The Behavior Analyst Trainee helps serve as a liaison between TASC, client, the IPP team, funding agencies, and job sites following best practices and point of contact standards. Provides support to the client, staff, family, community, and job site as needed. Creates contacts with the community based on the needs of clients assigned. Spearheads the Discovery process, case management, file creation, identifying client needs and skills, acts as a resources guide for clients and staff, tracks documentation of services and all interactions. Participates in case review meetings with counselors / referring agencies for updates and communicating challenges and outcomes to the team. Produces and submits documents pertaining to client referrals and progress.
Primary duties :
Conduct assessments evaluating behavioral interventions
Work as part of a multi-disciplinary team to assess client needs. Design, modify and implement individualized treatment plans. TEAMWORK with professionals from other disciplines is essential.Document changes in client’s conditions and take necessary action.Design, implement, and systematically monitor skill acquisition and behavior education programsWrite behavior plans, progress summaries, clinical notes, transition summaries, and professional correspondenceOversee the implementation of behavior-analytic programs by othersTrain others, design behavioral systems, and performance managementCommunicate and collaborate effectively with caregivers and other professionalsParticipate in Circle of Support, IPP, ISP and other meetingsOther activities normally performed by a behavior analyst that are directly related to behavior analysis, such as attending planning meetings regarding the behavior-analytic program and researching the literature that is relevant to a current client’s programmingWork well under pressure, ability to prioritize, and demonstrate strong time management skillsFoster team engagement and growthProgram ManagementSchedule client coverage and identify emergency coverage as needed
Efficiently utilize the time record keeping system, including claiming hours for direct care staff and ensuring payroll information is accuratePerform weekly in person visits, direct observation and support of clients and teamsPrepare and submit SIR’s and appropriate documentation to funding agencies, APS, and licensing within the specified time period with support of a program managerDocument provided services for monthly billingReview and analyze daily notes and dataAssist in crisis management as neededCoordinate and maintain both client based and administrative responsibilitiesDraft and present disciplinary actions to employees per TASC proceduresProvide support as needed to other departments per Director instructionTASC LeadershipRepresent TASC within the community
Participate on community boards and / or committees in order to enhance community knowledge of TASC as well as provide TASC with relationships with additional community resourcesFoster team engagement and growthOther duties as assignedQualifications :
Must be currently enrolled in a Master's program at an accredited institutionTrainees may not start accumulating fieldwork hours until they have :Started qualifying coursework for the BCBA certification; and
Secured a qualified supervisor; andDeveloped and signed a written contract at the onset of the supervisory relationshipMust be able to successfully complete First Aid / CPRMust have reliable vehicle, proof of insurance, a valid California driver license and driving record acceptable to TASC insurance providerAbility to read, write and interpret documents in EnglishAbility to effectively present information and respond to questions in EnglishPhysical Requirements :
Ability to drive for work, maintain valid driver’s license and car insuranceAbility to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and / or quantitative productivity standardsAbility to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standardsWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand, walk, and sit. The employee must occasionally lift and / or move up to 100 poundsMay be required to lift up to 50 poundsThe employee must provide physical assistance and / or push clients up to 250lbs in a wheelchair. Must be able to assist adult clients transitioning in and out of vehicle and in the restroom.
