Position Overview:
As a Litigation Attorney at The Advocates, you'll play a pivotal role in our department-oriented approach. You will work closely with your legal assistants and coordinators to communicate with prospective clients and represent them during litigation.
What You'll Do:
Client Interaction:
- Communicate with clients via phone, text, email, and face-to-face meetings.
- Provide legal counsel regarding case value and strategy.
Litigation and Case Management:
- Represent clients in court and during settlement negotiations.
- Prepare and file legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and discovery requests.
- Negotiate with opposing counsel to secure top value for client cases.
Tech-Driven Efficiency:
- Utilize our cutting-edge legal software to:
- Organize and track cases efficiently.
- Communicate seamlessly within our structured systems.
What to Expect:
Multitasking/Prioritization:
- Client Engagement: Evaluate client cases, pinpoint potential leads, and ensure compatibility with our areas of expertise.
- Manage a large and active caseload.
Aggressive Litigation and Evaluation:
- Litigate personal injury cases that have not settled during pre-litigation negotiations.
- Evaluate the strengths and weaknesses of cases and anticipate trial value.
Building Relationships:
- Pursue relationships with other Montana attorneys to generate case referrals.
Team Collaboration:
- Participate in firm meetings and events alongside team coordinators and other staff.
- Contribute to smooth operations and teamwork.
Statute Adherence:
- Maintain careful tracking to ensure compliance with statutes.
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited university.
- Licensed to practice in the state of Montana.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in personal injury litigation.

Pay: $110,000.00 - $135,000.00 per year
