Responsibilities :
The candidate will perform systems engineering duties for the IFPC Product Office and will serve as the Defense Exportability Features (DEF) Technical Lead. This position requires the candidate to have systems engineering experience. Export Experience is a plus.
Major duties and responsibilities include the following :
Identification of software and hardware components that fall under ITAR and EARs
- Perform assessment of interfaces between radar, mission command, launcher, and interceptor in terms of exportability
- Coordinate and communicate with OSD, DASA DE&C, and SHIELD leadership on status of DEF Study
- Coordinate and provide technical leadership of DEF study team
- Review work products for quality and consistency with Statement of Work (SOW)
- Participate in Requirements Working Group and other systems engineering working groups
- Assist with Systems Engineering duties on IFPC as required
- Additional duties may include the following :
- Maintain awareness of components requiring protection
- Conduct and support review of analysis, In-Progress Reviews, and Technical Interchange Meetings (TIMs)
- Review of Develop Technology Assessment / Control Plans to support Foreign Military Sales (FMS) activities as required
- Review of Delegation of Disclosure Authority Letters (DDL) to support disclosure decisions and Foreign Military Sales activities as required
- Gain knowledge of DoD instruction S-5230.38 - Low Observable (LO) and Counter Low Observable (CLO) Program
- The successful candidate must be able to interact successfully with personnel from all branches of the military, government civilians, contractors and engineers.
