What We’re Looking For:
Santé is seeking an Accounts Receivable Billing Assistant (in office) to join our Finance team at our headquarters in Silver Spring, MD. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting with patient and insurance billings and payments for the organization supporting Mobile Crisis. This is a full time, exempt role with a tentative working schedule of Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm EST.
What You’ll Do:
- Prepare paper insurance claims weekly
- Post commercial insurance and client payments in Credible, our electronic medical record and billing software, by the 7th day of the following month
- Assist with resubmitting outstanding insurance claims to appropriate insurance company
- Assist with researching insurance rejections and retractions
- Download and record authorizations and update related database
- Assist with addressing error reports
- Assist with distributing client statements on a monthly basis
- Assist with submitting paper claims to secondary insurances
- Setup new client accounts
- Participate in and complete all required trainings
- Check work e-mail according to agency protocol
- Other duties as assigned
What We Require:
- Associates degree or higher from an accredited college or university
- 2 years of relevant experience
- Knowledge of internet and Microsoft Office software (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.)
- Must be able to be trained on Electronic Consumer Record software
