Events & Experience Manager
The Events & Experience Manager will plan, coordinate, and execute a diverse range of events that advance our mission and deepen engagement with our community of supporters, funders, and partners. As an adept project manager with a passion for social justice, they will bring a detail-oriented approach and a proven track record of success in event management and execution. They will co-design events and branding strategies that align with AAPF’s programmatic goals, ensuring maximum impact and visibility.
This role oversees all event logistics, contract review and negotiations, including venue selection, communications (both internal and external), and vendor management. You will work cross-functionally with AAPF teams to effectively allocate and manage resources, ensuring the seamless execution of each event.
The position is based in New York City and requires frequent travel to conferences and events.

Qualifications
- Required: Minimum of 5 years of experience in event planning and management, preferably within the non-profit sector.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple events simultaneously.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage and inspire diverse audiences.
- Demonstrated commitment to social justice and equity.
- Proficiency in event management software and tools.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed.
- Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in Event Management, Communications, Non-Profit Management, or a related field preferred.
Salary : $75,000 - $85,000
