Our client is a well-established independent insurance agency in Winter Park, FL, specializing in personalized insurance solutions for individuals and businesses. Known for delivering tailored coverage and exceptional client service, they are seeking a skilled and motivated Commercial Lines Account Manager to join their growing team.
This is a hybrid position requiring 4 days in-office and offering 1 day remote each week. The Account Manager will be responsible for managing a commercial book of business totaling approximately $3 million in premium. You’ll be the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring high-touch service, handling renewals, and identifying opportunities to enhance coverage. Ideal candidates are proactive, organized, and experienced in commercial insurance account management.
Client Relations & Account Management
- Serve as the primary contact for a diverse portfolio of commercial clients.
- Maintain strong client relationships through responsive and proactive communication.
- Collaborate with producers and internal teams to deliver tailored insurance solutions.
- Identify opportunities to cross-sell additional policies, including EPLI, Cyber, and Umbrella coverage.
Policy Servicing & Renewals
- Handle mid-term policy changes, endorsements, and client updates.
- Manage the renewal process, including reviewing loss histories, coverage adjustments, and pricing.
- Prevent coverage gaps and support clients with proactive risk management advice.
Operational Efficiency & Compliance
- Utilize agency management systems to track policies and streamline workflows.
- Propose and implement process improvements to boost service delivery.
- Ensure compliance with state and industry regulations.
Reporting & Strategic Insight
- Generate reports to assess account performance and client retention.
- Collaborate with leadership to establish service KPIs and support agency growth.
- Share client feedback and market insights to inform service and product strategies.
Qualifications & Requirements
- 5 years of experience in commercial insurance account management.
- Strong understanding of commercial insurance products, coverages, and claims processes.
- Active Property & Casualty Insurance License (Florida).
- Proficient in client relationship management, negotiations, and problem-solving.
- Familiar with AMS/CRM systems such as HawkSoft, Veruna, EzLynx, Applied Epic, or similar.
- Ability to thrive independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced setting.
