Employment & Labor Associate
We are seeking an associate with 3-5 years of employment and labor experience to join our growing Employment & Labor team in Parsippany, NJ.
Position Overview:
The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience in performing legal research and representing employers in a variety of labor and employment-related matters. This includes litigation in state and federal courts, proceedings before state and federal administrative agencies, and labor arbitration. Preferred experience includes handling employment matters such as discrimination claims, breach of contract disputes, and wage and hour violations. Additional experience counseling employers on labor relations and employment law, conducting internal investigations, and drafting employment policies and agreements is a plus.
Our Employment & Labor team advises clients on a wide range of workplace issues, representing them in state and federal courts, as well as before agencies like the National Labor Relations Board and the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission. We collaborate closely with clients to understand their unique needs and deliver tailored, effective solutions.
This role offers a hybrid work schedule, combining three in-office days with two remote days per week, providing flexibility for our attorneys.
Requirements:
- 3-5 years of demonstrated experience in employment and labor law
- Excellent legal research, technical, and client service skills
- Strong written and verbal communication and advocacy abilities
- Team-oriented mindset with a focus on collaboration
- Effective problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently, proactively, and develop creative solutions to meet client and team needs
- Admission to the New Jersey Bar in good standing (admission to Connecticut and/or New York Bar is a plus)
Salary : $160,000 - $225,000
