Our mission is to provide guests with an extraordinary stay that they’ll remember long after they’ve left.
The property is a branded franchise property, a sister property to The Alice Hotel, with support from the brand to execute the vision of the brand. We have an established brand, in the market for many years, with many corporate clients.
Position Overview: As the General Manager, you will be the driving force behind our hotel's operations, leading our team to deliver top-notch service and ensuring that every guest leaves with a smile. You will have the opportunity to shape the guest experience, manage day-to-day operations, and spearhead innovative initiatives that enhance our hotel's distinct character. The General Manager will oversee all aspects of the hotel’s operations. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong leadership skills, exceptional customer service abilities, and a passion for hospitality. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in hotel management, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to drive revenue while maintaining high guest satisfaction levels.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operational Management: Oversee all hotel operations, including front desk, housekeeping, food and beverage, maintenance, and guest services. Ensure all departments work together seamlessly to deliver an exceptional guest experience.
- Financial Oversight: Develop and manage the hotel budget, including forecasting, expense control, and revenue management. Analyze financial reports to identify trends and implement strategies to achieve financial targets.
- Staff Leadership: Recruit, train, and supervise hotel staff. Foster a positive work environment and ensure staff are motivated, well-trained, and aligned with the hotel’s service standards.
- Guest Relations: Address guest concerns and complaints promptly and professionally. Enhance guest satisfaction through personalized service and attention to detail.
- Marketing and Sales: Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and implement promotional strategies to drive bookings and enhance the hotel’s brand presence. Build relationships with local businesses and community organizations to attract new guests.
- Quality Assurance: Maintain high standards of cleanliness, maintenance, and overall guest experience. Conduct regular inspections and implement improvements as needed.
- Compliance: Ensure the hotel complies with all health, safety, and legal regulations. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry standards and trends. Must be able to maintain confidentiality of information.
- Perform other duties as requested by management and required in the operations of a hotel.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Proven experience as a General Manager or in a similar leadership role within the hospitality industry.
- Skills: Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a team. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. Proficiency in hotel management software and financial systems. Ability to analyze data and make strategic decisions.
- Attributes: Detail-oriented, proactive, and adaptable. Passionate about delivering outstanding guest experiences and driving operational excellence. Excellent problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to challenges.
