The Alinea Group seeks a full-time Accounting Manager to join our Accounting team. We are passionate about culinary arts, service, and business operations innovation. Responsibilities- Manage and lead accounting month, quarter, and year-end closes
- Maintain financial records following US GAAP
- Prepare and review financial statement reports for The Alinea Group subsidiaries by required deadlines
- Identify and implement cost-saving opportunities
- Identify and implement process improvements and efficiencies
- Collaborate and deliver weekly reporting to ownership, chefs, and managers
- Assist with the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts
- Assist with ad-hoc projects as needed
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree or higher, major in Accounting preferred
- 5 plus years experience in a professional setting
- High proficiency with Excel and Google Sheets
- Knowledge of US GAAP and internal controls
- Advanced understanding of accounting software (Quickbooks or equivalent)
- Proactive and self-starter attitude
- Demonstrated ability to lead and manage a team
- Experience in budgeting and forecasting preferred
- Dedication to the confidentiality of sensitive information
- Exempt salaried position
