The Poolside Hospitality Attendant is responsible for creating an inviting, comfortable, and safe environment for guests in the pool area. This role primarily involves greeting and assisting guests while ensuring that the area is tidy and well-equipped. The attendant also supports the pool team by helping with food and beverage orders as needed. The ideal candidate is attentive, personable, and proactive, delivering exceptional guest service while maintaining cleanliness and organization in the poolside area.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities (Key Activities) :
The following are specific responsibilities and contributions critical to the successful performance of the position :
- Guest Reception & Assistance : Welcome pool guests as they arrive, direct them to available seating, and help with any special requests to create a positive and inviting experience. Offer an overview of poolside service, amenities, and the environment, and check in guests renting cabanas.
- Pool Deck Maintenance : Ensure the pool deck is clean and well maintained by regularly picking up and replacing soiled chair covers and towels once guests depart, removing any trash or debris as needed. Ensure clean and dry towels are readily available to guests and restock them as necessary. Regularly check poolside furniture, walkways, and surrounding areas and report any maintenance issues to management.
- Guest Engagement & Assistance : Provide information to guests about hotel amenities, services, and other hotel dining venues. Respond to guest inquiries promptly and ensure their needs are met. Assist guests with positioning of chairs and umbrellas, promptly to guest inquiries
- Poolside Team Support : Collaborate with Poolside Food & Beverage Service Attendants and other team members to ensure smooth operations and guest satisfaction. Assist with Food & Beverage orders as necessary.
- Quality Standards : Ensure adherence to service standards provided by the hotel brand standards.
- Appearance & Presentation : Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor throughout the shift. Ensure uniform guidelines are adhered to and the uniform is in good repair.

Experience :
Experience in luxury or ultra-luxury hospitality, customer service, or poolside environment is an advantage.

Language :
Required to speak, read and write English, with fluency in other languages preferred.
Physical Requirements :
Must be able to endure various physical movements throughout the work areas, reach up and down, remain stationary at times throughout work periods, lift up to 40 pounds, and satisfactorily communicate with guests and co-workers to their understanding.
Outdoor pool environment - constantly exposed to heat, wind, and slippery surfaces.
