The Allen Company, Inc. is a leading Road Construction and Asphalt Paving Contractor in Central Kentucky. Our business operations are made up of limestone quarries, hot-mix asphalt plants, road construction, asphalt paving, concrete work, grading, drainage, site preparation, excavation, and utility work. Since 1939, The Allen Company has been family owned and operated, expanding its operations during that time to 4 Quarry locations and 5 Asphalt Plants. We serve Clark, Fayette, Woodford, Jessamine, Garrard, Lincoln, Boyle, Jackson and Madison counties.
Currently, The Allen Company, Inc. is looking for an Asphalt Plant Maintenance Technician. The Maintenance Technician is responsible for repair and service of all asphalt plants, maintain all asphalt plants, maintain and operate work site equipment daily, responsible for handling and storage of material
Responsibilities:
- Repair and service of all asphalt plants
- Maintain Asphalt plants.
- Operate Asphalt plant as needed.
- Maintains and operates work site equipment on a daily basis.
- Responsible for handling and storage of materials
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Safety oriented.
- Welding.
- Valid driver’s license with a positive driving record.
- Be able to pass DOT Med card physical.
- Computer experience is a plus.
- High-quality attitude required for customer relations.
- The desire and ability to learn.
- Strong mechanical aptitude.
- Be able to lift, push, and pull at least 50 pounds.
- Be able to work in confined spaces.
- Physically able to climb with occasional heights – candidate should not have a fear of heights.
- Able to comply with all safety procedures and requirements including wearing Personal Protective Equipment daily.
- Able to function outside year-round with occasional underground work required.
- Be available to work a flexible schedule including overtime and Saturdays as needed.
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen, physical, and background evaluation.
