What are the responsibilities and job description for the Staff Accountant position at The Alliance Group?
This publicly traded, diversified holding company is seeking a staff accountant that will be part of the corporate accounting team. Reporting directly to the Manager of Corporate Accounting, the staff accountant will be responsible for the day-to-day financial activities of the company’s Corporate Office. The role requires significant interaction with other corporate office departments, business units, consultants, and external auditors.

Primary Responsibilities:
- Work closely with team members to complete the monthly close process, including, but not limited to journal entries, intercompany invoices, account reconciliations, internal management reporting and submission of information to the Company’s consolidation team.
- Preparation and coding of invoices for payment.
- Assist in the preparation of annual budgets for the Corporate Office.
- Assist the Financial Reporting and Consolidation team during the preparation of the Form 10-Q and 10-K filings.
- Work with team members to complete the monthly close process for the Employee Benefits Trust.
- Preparation of the annual financial statements, external audit process, and tax reporting for multiple Employee Benefit Plans
Qualifications;
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting
- CPA or CPA eligible candidate with the goal of successfully obtaining a CPA license
- Recent grad or new to the industry with limited Corporate Accounting or Auditing work experience
- Detail-oriented, with strong analytical ability and critical thinking skills
- Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
- Strong work ethic, with ability to meet deadlines on time-sensitive projects
- Strong Excel and other Microsoft Office product skills required
Salary : $60,000 - $70,000
