Hair Salon Assistant

Responsibilities

• Assist stylists with various hair services, ensuring clients receive exceptional care and attention.
• Manage front desk operations, including greeting clients, scheduling appointments, and handling inquiries.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the salon, ensuring all tools and products are properly stored.
• Support retail sales by promoting products and assisting clients with purchases.
• Perform hair threading and basic hair styling techniques as needed.
• Help with inventory management, including restocking supplies and monitoring product levels.
• Communicate effectively with clients to understand their needs and provide appropriate recommendations.

Experience

• Previous experience in a salon or retail environment is preferred but not required.
• Familiarity with retail math to assist in managing sales transactions effectively.
• Knowledge of cosmetology or barbering principles is a plus.
• Skills in hair extensions application or hair styling techniques are beneficial.
• Strong communication skills to interact with clients and team members professionally.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented atmosphere while maintaining a positive attitude.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $18.50 - $21.00 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 40 per week
