The Alotian Club is seeking to hire a Member Experience Professional (MEP) to maintain the daily operations of the Food & Beverage department. Candidates must have a ‘Guest First’ attitude, be comfortable speaking with people, and have a professional appearance and demeanor. A Day in the Life
The Member Experience Professional (MEP) is a jack-of-all trades, having varying responsibilities throughout the day. They are the first point of contact with members and guests in the morning, and their main contact for any food & beverage requests while on property. Between serving breakfast and lunch, a MEP will also be responsible for F&B outlets in the on-site cottages and the golf course. MEPs may also be responsible for dinner preparation and pre-shift tasks, such as setting tables. The Alotian Club prides itself on creating a unique and customized experience for every member and guest, which requires a passion for service, creativity, and flexibility as no two days are ever the same.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Must have a strong understanding of service and hospitality concepts, and the poise required for elevated service
- Possess complete knowledge of the menus and be able to answer any menu questions from members/guests
- Maintain in-room hospitality food & beverage items and fulfill special requests.
- Ability to carry plates to and from all dining areas including outdoors and up/down stairs
- Restock and keep accurate records of on-course food and beverage items
- Provide in-person refreshments to golfers on the course
- Obtain knowledge of members names and preferences
- Will be required to bill member charges through the use of JONAS point of sale system
- Communicate any issues with food service or dining issues to the Dining Room Manager, F&B Manager(s), and/or Clubhouse Manager in a timely manner
- Understanding of the game of golf and how it relates to F&B responsibilities
- Follow Club procedures for handling and storing food products in a safe and sanitary manner
- Other duties as deemed necessary by the Food & Beverage Manager(s) and/or Clubhouse Manager
Requirements
Preferred Skills
- Cocktail/liquor knowledge and ability to craft high quality beverages
- Previous fine dining service and/or exposure to synchronized service
- Strong food knowledge
- Previous club experience
Work Schedule
Must be able to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays when needed. This is a full time position.
