What are the responsibilities and job description for the Digital Marketing Specialist position at The Alternative Board (Worldwide)?
The Alternative Board (TAB) is looking for an experienced energetic, creative, and strategic Digital Marketing Specialist who thrives in a fast-paced and unstructured environment.
The ideal candidate will understand a wide-range of marketing channels and have and will be responsible for planning and managing campaigns that promote franchise and membership acquisition through digital media, including but not limited to email, web, and SEO/SEM. You are creative, curious, inquisitive, and enjoy collaboration with others. This role will report to the Marketing Director and work closely with various roles within the marketing team.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate with Membership Marketing team and Franchise Acquisition team to create and execute marketing campaigns
- Responsible for the overall function of corporate and franchisee websites including their structure, content, vision, and success metrics
- Increase lead generation and brand awareness through digital marketing efforts including SEO, email, web, search, paid social and display advertising
- Build and manage email and event campaigns across multiple platforms with a goal of increasing lead generation, brand awareness, open rates, and engagement rates
- Test and create new email design templates, landing pages, and other tools that align with Brand guide and improve engagement and lead generation performance
- Manage all brand Social Media channels
- Use SEO to increase traffic to brand sites
- Tracking and analyzing campaign performance using a range of tools, and using insights to optimize campaigns, considering creative, targeting, choice of ad platform and other variables.
- Setting up and managing LinkedIn Ad Campaigns, Google Ad Campaigns and other paid ad campaigns
- Ensure consistency in brand voice and messaging related to content
- Maintain a strong understanding of the competitive environment, recommending strategic shifts to meet our lead generation goals or business objectives
- Timely completion of internal deliverables
- Identify and monitor technologies and new developments in the digital landscape to find ways to deliver communication and business objectives more effectively

Skills & Other Requirements
- CRM experience (HubSpot experience is a plus!)
- Willingness to learn new technology and new software systems
- Experience with WordPress preferred (not required)
- Able to multi-task and keep competing goals on schedule
- Email and landing page design and copywriting abilities, including the ability to write great subject lines
- Ability to make data-driven decisions and make recommendations based on analytics from various platforms
- Willingness to bring new ideas to the table
- Work respectfully with team members and external clients.
- Previous experience in a franchise system or account management experience in a digital marketing agency is preferred but not required
- Strong organization and project management/planning skills with ability to set priorities and work on multiple projects simultaneously
- Adapts easily to changing situations and demonstrates flexibility
- Proficiency in managing paid advertising platforms, including Google Ads, Facebook Ads Manager, and LinkedIn Campaign Manager.
- Expertise in setting up, optimizing, and scaling PPC campaigns to achieve ROI goals.
- Knowledge of audience targeting and retargeting strategies to enhance campaign performance.
- Ability to analyze and interpret performance data from paid advertising platforms and make informed optimization decisions.
- Experience in A/B testing ad creatives, landing pages, and ad formats to improve click-through and conversion rates.
- Familiarity with budgeting, bidding strategies, and forecasting for paid ad campaigns.
- Understanding of compliance and best practices for paid advertising on various platforms.
- Proficiency in tracking and analyzing ad performance using tools like Google Analytics, SEMrush, and other analytics platforms.
