What are the responsibilities and job description for the Banquet Lead-LF position at The Altland House Hospitality Group?
The Banquet Lead is responsible for overseeing all events to ensure and provide customers with the Altland House Hospitality Group standards of excellence and rules of etiquette. Provides supervision and guidance to Front of House Banquet employees. Manages set up and detailing of all event spaces. Key responsibilities include team performance, attention to detail, proper service techniques, client relations.
Will work directly with the F&B Manager & Sales Manager to ensure a successful event for the client.
Location: The Lodge at Liberty Forge- Mechanicsburg, PA
2 years banquet/catering experience.
Must be RAMP certified.
- Responsible for arriving on time, dressed in appropriate professional attire, ready to go to work.
- Check Event Sheets at the beginning of each shift.
- Managing the setup of all events. (Tables, Linens, Flatware, Buffets, Centerpieces, Stations, Bars, etc.)
- Managing the Break Down of all events.
- Ensuring proper lighting and temperatures in event spaces.
- Act as a liaison between the kitchen and service staff to ensure a seamless execution of food and beverage service.
- Tend to guests’ requests, questions, concerns, etc.
- Responsible for maintaining the organization and appropriate stocking of linen, either personally or by assigning available staff. An inventory should be kept.
- Ensure that event space and surrounding areas remain neat and clean. (Get ready rooms, bathrooms, etc.)
- Acknowledges guests with appropriate greeting, by name if you know them, meet & greet with a warm friendly smile, and provide the same warmth and friendliness upon the patrons exit.
- Checks frequently with customers to ensure excellence in food and service, re-waters, refills coffee or other beverages as needed and deals courteously with special requests of customers during dining.
- Assists banquet servers in clearing tables between courses and at end of meal.
- Expedite food and beverages as needed.
- Filling chafers, lighting sternos, replacing serving utensils, stocking buffets, etc.
- Must maintain familiarity with POS system.
- Maintain composure in a fast-paced environment.
- Must maintain clear communication with kitchen personnel and Front of House personnel, to ensure that the guest experience is ideal.
- Completes other duties as assigned by Food & Beverage Manager.
