Position: Full time Maintenance Worker. Mostly Mon - Friday , Daytime and Mid Shift, some weekends may be needed from time to time.
Full time receive PTO.

Responsibilities:
The Ambassador Hotel is seeking a Shift Maintenance Worker with experience. Under the supervision of the Director of Maintenance, the Maintenance Worker will be responsible for performing general maintenance and repairs on the on-facility equipment and property structures, guestrooms and grounds maintenance.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to stand, bend and walk for hours at a time.
- Must be able to lift and carry 75 pounds.
Job Functions:
- Complete room calls, day to day projects & emergencies such as; Preventative
- Maintenance of rooms, AC coil cleaning & AC maintenance, electrical & plumbing projects, carpentry, painting, and sheet rock.
- Cleaning up pool, pool area, organizing all pool chairs, opening umbrella’s if not windy or raining and take trash.
- Clean up beach area, organize chairs and remove any trash.
- Remove all trash from all floors in main and studio building
- Completing all work orders
- Quality Assurance for units and apartments.
- Install appliances and their repair.
- Respond to all guest requests in a courteous, efficient and safe manner
- Follow preventive maintenance programs in compliance with hotel standards and local, state and national codes and regulations.
- Respond and prepare for all emergency situations including hurricanes, fire alarms, bomb threats, disasters and power failures; notify the appropriate authorities.
- Make rounds of the hotel property to ensure everything is in working order.
- Clean and maintain all equipment and work areas.
- Handle elevator malfunctions.
- Report any unsafe conditions to the Director of Maintenance.
- Complete others tasks as assigned.
Job Requirements:
- 2 years’ experience in building maintenance in either hotel or residential environment.
- Ability to maintain and repair AC's, electrical, plumbing equipment and perform carpentry and repair work.
- Knowledge of power tools and how to use.
- Excellent communication skills required to respond on portable radio to fellow staff members and guests.
- Fluent in English; able to speak, read and write English.
- Ability to work flexible shift.
- Ability to work outdoors.
