Overview

The Senior Manager will be responsible for coordinating and managing various logistical, administrative, and programmatic activities related to the Council of District Chairs (CDC) the Fellow and Early Career Fellow election process. The Senior Manager will oversee five (5) district managers to achieve departmental and organizational goals. This role requires strategic thinking and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. The Senior Manager will be responsible for fostering a positive work environment and ensuring the team meets its objectives.

This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with senior leadership.

Note: This position is considered Hybrid and will need to commute to ACOG's office located in Washington, D.C.

Responsibilities

Supervisory Responsibilities:• This position has direct supervisory responsibilities.

 

Duties/Responsibilities:1. Relationship Management    o Lead, mentor, and develop five (5) District Managers.    o Set clear performance expectations and provide regular feedback.    o Foster a collaborative and inclusive team culture.    o Monitor team performance and implement improvement plans as needed.    o Communicate effectively with senior leadership and other departments.    o Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations.      o Handle escalated issues and provide solutions in a timely manner.2. Meeting Coordination    o Manage election process trainings for leaders3. Policy and Procedures Management    o Update Election Policies and Procedures in accordance with the ACOG Bylaws and recommendations of the Board of Directors    o Manage and Confirm eligibility of all Nominating and Committee Members and Candidates4. Election Management    o Draft and send all Election materials, such as Nominating Committee letters, Call for Nominations, candidates’ solicitations, voting reminders, acceptance/nonacceptance letters.    o Confirm eligibility of all Nominating Committee Members and Candidates.    o Process all candidate materials received.    o Manage online balloting.    o Answer Election-related queries    o Maintain Fellow Officer election materials on the ACOG website.

Qualifications

Required Skills/Abilities:• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.• Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work with diverse groups of people.• Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.• This position may require occasional travel to attend meetings and events.• The role may involve working outside of regular business hours to accommodate meetings and events

 

Education and Experience:• Bachelor’s degree and/or Minimum of 10 years of experience preferably in a non-profit or healthcare setting.• Excellent organizational and time management skills.• Strong written and verbal communication skills.• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and virtual meeting platforms (e.g., Zoom).

Compensation

The base salary for this position is $95,000 - $105,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications. In addition, ACOG offers a comprehensive benefits package that includes the perks outlined below.
