We are partnered with the Virginia Department of Corrections to locate a Medical Director for their Women’s Correctional Facility in Troy, VA – Fluvanna.
Location :
Fluvanna Women's Correctional Center | 144 Prison Ln, Troy, VA 22974
Medical Director Scope :
20-25% clinical - Will see patients in reception area and infirmary
Administrative time will be focused on quality improvement and performance management
Oversight of 2 physicians and 2 NPs
8 AM - 4 : 30 PM Monday – Friday
Call is 1 : 4 weeks - includes evenings and weekends
No insurance billing!
About Fluvanna Women’s Correctional Center :
Comparable to 200-bed community hospital
Capacity is 1200 but census currently sitting around 750
42-bed infirmary, census of 25
24 / 7 oxygen and CPAP
Outpatient clinic with 8 exam rooms

Qualifications :
Board eligible or board certified in : Internal Medicine, Emergency Medicine, Family Medicine, OBGYN or General Surgery
5 years of active clinical practice
Current and / or prior leadership experience
Corrections experience is a plus
