FIELD SAFETY SPECIALIST
The American Fence Company is seeking an experienced Field Safety Specialist to join the teams of industry professionals in our northern territory branches. The Field Safety Specialist supports the Safety Director by implementing, monitoring, reporting on, and ensuring compliance with safety policies and regulations throughout each branch within the assigned territory. While this position can be based out of any of our Minnesota, Wisconsin, North Dakota, or South Dakota branches, travel is an essential function of this position and requires overnight travel to branch locations 75% of the workweek.
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:
- $65,000-$75,000

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Travel to territory branches, currently consisting of Rochester and Minneapolis, MN; Madison, WI; Fargo, ND; and Sioux Falls and Rapid City, SD, approximately 75% of workweek.
- Perform site safety audits and inspections.
- Complete equipment inspections.
- Track and report safety performance.
- Facilitate safety and health training and education.
- Conduct incident and accident investigation and write detailed reports.
- Develop and implement safety policies, procedures, and programs.
- Accurately maintain records as required by applicable regulations and company policies.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum 3 years of safety-related construction experience and/or associate or bachelor’s degree in construction management, occupational health and safety, environmental science, or similar.
- Knowledge of OSHA and other safety and regulatory standards.
- Excellent verbal and written communication and critical thinking skills.
- Intermediate to advanced proficiency in productivity and presentation software.
- Self-directed and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
